Welcome back folks. This blog is pretty exciting to me. A customer from the State of Washington purchased and built the Roman Dice Tower a couple of weeks ago and was kind enough to share some thoughts, pictures and a video of his work.
@Ritterton had asked me if I could reproduce an old Roman Dice Tower. I rose to the occasion and developed the above dice tower which has become a product offering. Although not a replica, the original inspired this recreation using MDF as the medium.
Inspired by the 4th century AD, Vettweiss-Froitzheim Roman Dice Tower discovered in 1985, our version is created from MDF, includes dice ramps, stairs, dolphins, pine-cones, and bells. The tower is 4"x4" and 9" high. The inscription around the tower is in Latin and translates to: "Use it and Live Lucky. The Picts are Defeated. The Enemy is Destroyed. Play in Safety." Assembly is required.
@Ritterton provided the images in this blog and a video that will be posted to the 3D-DZYN YouTube channel. He did pre-paint the model using a metallic spray, which you can see in the pictures and I think it looks great!
Thanks again @Ritterton for the inspiration and I hope you enjoy the tower. May you "Play in Safety".
